That's funny...

All my town has are mall goths, which aren't really "goths" at all. Sadly, I'm the closest thing we have to a "real goth", and my style isn't all that Gothic. It's slowly transitioning to Gothic, but, as of right now, I look like a rock star.

I don't know... Not everyone who is part of a certain subculture has "bought into" it. I haven't bought into the Gothic subculture, but my taste in music has been heavily influenced by it (although most people in that subculture would laugh at me for liking Hellogoodbye and The Bird and the Bee, but who cares). As for clothing, I dress to look good. I usually do a pretty good job of it.

Of course, I'm almost 25, and I've settled the big internal question most kids are faced with in their teenage years: "Who am I?"

I didn't know it was huge in other countries, the kids are everywhere in australia. It sucks cause i may be 21, yet due to my height i look really young, and i have to walk through the city every day for 20 mins to get to work, and have been called a "try hard emo" by several highschool kids a few times. Where as i would be atleast 4 yrs older then them. So yeah, apperently having purple hair and a lip piercing makes you look like a "try hard emo"

Yeah i dont like mcr, but i agreed to go to the show cause my bf likes them and it was 18+ It then got changed to all ages, grrr so i decided to wear a bright orange dress, and was seriously the only one there in colour. So many little kiddies must not of gone to school that day, i drove past at 8am on my way to work, and there were some already camped out there.

why would someone do such a thing? Not laugh at you cause your not wearing a certain type of shoe but go to a my chemical romance concert for any reason other than to beat the shit out of a depressed kid. Not saying I've ever done that before but if I did I'd atleast make sure theyre near my own age, around 17-21
