Everyone says atomic records in milwaukee but whatever, there are only like two nice people that work there tops. personally, i prefer Rushmor for new records, Farwell Music for old and used stuff and Mean Mountain when i want like motown, girl group, or totally off the wall hot rod music.

i like rushmor 'cause it's a great place to stalk cute girls over at the hi-fi! shocked

ozone uk. its on the way home from work.

jackpot is a pain cos I like the tactile sensation of opening my CDs. I mean, it may as well be used after they open them. Who wants to blow $14 - 18 on a used CD?

BEST. STORE. EVER.

nice. smile

i can remember back in '85 or '86 when Brett just started - he had a little room of a shop next to the Army recruiters. i think my buddies and i helped keep him in business his first year or so.

it's super cool how well he's done and especially how he's kept pretty much the same vibe from back when the cash register was propped on a stack of cardboard boxes...

Tower music would have to be the best where i live though there is only 2, They can get pritty much anything and if its something they havent heard of before they'll try and usually can get it, i asked about these string quartet tributes and they got them in and have been selling great.

I go there all the time and I agree it's the best by ALOT. They have the most comprehensive selection (besides the bluegrass/country....but even then they're better than most). They have the best deals going as well where they usually discount the best album by a band from 3-5 dollars off. Even their recient addition of dvd's has some rare finds.

However, this might be a rumor but I've heard that the store is eventually going to go out of business with the way things have gone digital. That's why they've reciently gotten to add clothes and dvd's to the store that used to only have books/comic books and music. It will keep them going hopefully.

and i'd feel like a babysitter if i had to work there with all the punky suburb kids who use it as a hangout and a place to buy trucker hats for 29.95
