Anyone into death black metal? I would figure at least a few would be and since someone put a pop, phleminem, gindcore topic up I thought I'd put something I enjoy up.

to limit myself to a few,
God Dethroned
CoF
Cannibal Corpse
Marduk
Mayhem
Immortal
Deicide

And yours?

All those of course, and more. Morbid Angel has always been a favorite.

Yeah I'd have to say I like them also. I got to see them on the Pantera/Morbid angel/Soul fly tour I went to a few years back. Phil even came out to sing with Morbid and man does he have a good death metal growl!

How about some bands with more creativity and originality? (not that Morbid Angel's bad... they were just better in the early days)

Aborym
Absu
Averse Sefira
Barathrum
Beherit
Bestial Warlust
Centinex
Demoncy
Graveland
Krieg
Limbonic Art
Manes
Profanum... eh... forget it. I'll stop here

Some good bands listed, but creativity and originality comes out of more well known bands also. Just because they have a greater fan base doesn't make the band not creative. To date I've never heard a better Cannibal Corpse, a better Cradle of Filth. Original? I've never heard malice through the looking glass played by anyone else. Nor have I heard another skull full of maggots.

other bands that annihilate:
Emperor
Dying Fetus
Dark Tranquility
Dimmu Borgir
Opeth
Napalm Death
SYL...
too many now that I think about it.

yes it is a challenge to limit yourself to a few bands because most every band I see listed there I enjoy also. Tis nice to see I am not alone in my taste for music.

I totally like Black/Death/Heavy Metal.

some of my favorites are:

MACABRE, Libido Airbag, Cock and Ball Torture, Morbid Angel, Death, Celtic Frost, Satyricon, Dark Throne, Black Funeral, Opera IX, Therion, MANOWAR....and the list goes on and on.

Two years ago I danced on stage for Cradle Of Filth, got paid and everything. They're wankers, though. and their music hasn't been any good in a while.

I've rediscovered Septic Flesh after hearing Sumerian Daemons in full. Wow. Just plain, wow. Makes me want to cry that they broke up this year. It's only like $9 from The End Records, so I don't think anyone has an excuse to not buy it.

Funny Cradle story. In July when they were in Indy for Ozzfest (me and the bro went. he's nuts about CoF) my friend Dani and her parents hung out with them. Apparently CoF likes to go to Wallmart and Appleby's when they're in the states, and my friend literally lives across the street from both. I guess they were both at there at the same time and hit it off. CoF ended up staying the night at said friend's house, and I have the photos to prove it. She called me the next day screaming about how she hung out with rock stars. I just laughed because she had no clue who they were. Crazy.

Anyway...not much into the stuff, but my brother's crazy about it. In terms of metal, I like bands like Opeth and Dimmu Borgir more... confused

Cattle Decapitation is probably the only black/death metal band I can say I really enjoy. It's the kind of band you have to see live though, their record "To Serve Man" while good just wasn't up to par with their live show. They have one of the most talented singers I have ever seen.

You have given me more reasons why I should boycott Cradle of Filth. Thank you.
