I believe Punk is more of an attitude/movement than a genre ya know? It is a musical genre, but it's more than that. Certain(punk) bands give a voice to certain generations. For me growing up, I could relate a hell of a lot more to early Greenday than say the Ramones, but then again.....the Ramones most likely influenced Green Day.

I guess I'm just saying Punk is basically a big fuck you, If you tell me what I wan't listening to wasn't Punk, you're kinda missing the point of Punk altogether.
