yes!!! the afghan whigs are an under-appreciated band, if you ask me. 1965 is one of the few albums that will make me get out of my seat and dance around my house. they are a great band.

Gentlemen, fucking brilliant album..
The cover picture. I know its not the music but god damit, I've been in that picture before. How they got that kid to look that sad and the girl that hurt i'll never know.

Greg Dulli (sp?) is one soulful fucking whiteman.

I love "The singer" and "papa was a rascal"....The cover songs are insane..."Creep" and "Miss world" and "When doves cry"./....such a long list.

definitely a top 10 band of all time...so much pain in their music. gentlemen is great...someone gave me a4-CD set w/ their b-sides and in-studio stuff on it. talk about amazing...

you know why the fanzine was called "fat greg dulli?" come to l.a. and we can go hang out at the Shortstop til he comes 'round (he owns the bar). he's absolutley disgusting now...it's a shame to see someone let themselves go like that. oh, i guess that would answer the question about the twilight singers too, eh?

Love love love this band.

Greg may be a prick, but damn he has soul.

(though not as much as shawn smith when it comes to white boys)

Gentlemen is my favorite, although their cover of " The tTemple" is awfully impressive. I saw then play what must have been a three hour set on Greg's birhtday at LaLuna back in 1996. Great show.

OMG, one of my favorite bands of all time. love love, love, love those guys...it was a sad day when they broke up, indeed. love the twilight singers too, got to see them once and saw the whigs a bunch of times too. i love all the albums for various reasons, Black Love is probably my favorite but nothing says "misery loves company" like Gentlemen....sigh. that one has kept me company on many occasions.
