does anybody know whats happening with the mars volta lp? The suspense is killing me and I've had the Tremulant EP playing in my head for the past 2 months now. I need something new...
and do you think it is going to be any good?
i agree...the LP will just be flat-out awesome. i mean, tremulant has 3 songs, and i've probably listened to it 784234 times. you figure a full length would have 12 songs or so...do the math on that one! i'll be listening to mars volta until i'm 263 years old.

I'm so stoked for this. I saw them live once and it blew my fuckin mind.
Just got De-Loused in the Comatorium, and it is amazing. Only listened to it once so far, but damn. Now I really want to see them live. Hurry up and come to Portland, guys!
CatBoner said: theyre good live. lots of energy, very noisy. i was a bit disappointed with the lp though.
You were disappointed?! My goodness that cd kicks so much ass. It sounds like Carlos Santana on a fist full of cocaine and a briefcase full of acid while sporting an afro the size of a large Chow.
i adore the cd...and the ep. cedric and omar are amazing.
i've seem then live three times now. only once did i get the feeling that cedric was 100% comfortable on stage. the first two times i saw them, he seemed a little...err...lost.
ARE they hitting pdx anytime soon? I saw them here in l.a. a couple months ago, fuckin' amazing. Unfortunately I will be missing their performance @ All Tomorrows' Parties. But all of you la peeps are required to go. Or face certain death.
(as opposed to everyone who's seen Mars Volta. Easily they are assauged of their burden of their mortality and get cool bacon bits instead)
like a lot of bands this time of year, they are in europe kicking festival ass. i cant wait to see them. i heard the record a couple of times and really dug it.
I really liked this album when I first heard it, but after a while I thought it got kind of hard to listen to. Great music to work by, but not exactly one for the headphones.
