RAWR! I've been waiting for this album for forever

yay! i love deftones. i hope chino got a bit back in shape though. last time i saw him live he was sweating profusely, staggering a bit, and he ripped out his pants and had to change. poor guy. still rocks though.

I like this band alot... these guys are a good live band... They also gave me a chance to see quicksand before they bid farewell. I haven't heard much about the new cd so I might dl a few songs before I buy the cd... see if it is worthy of owning.

my friend hangs with Chino here in Sacto... they're working on it. So far as I know they'v been making a lot of progress in their home studio... I can report more as I find out.

This record is very stripped down of gloss, it is the heaviest Deftones record to date, and will not be pushed like white pony was at all.

The Deftones rock. My favorite band ever. I heard that their new album can not be compared to any of their previous albums, but if it could, then ATF(Fav. tones album) would be the one to compare it with. Anyone know if the song thats coming out on Reloaded's soundtrack is going to be an original piece or is it going to be from the new album. Although Elite is probably my least favorite on WP I think it would have been a good choice for the movie. Also, anyone listen to Chino's sideproject, Teamsleep? They also have a piece coming out on Reloaded's soundtrack. From the way everyone is talking it sounds as if that song will not be one of the tracks on their debut album.

I the Deftones! I saw them in concert a few years back here in SF... I think it was a Live 105 Not So Silent night thing... and the sound was utter shit. But, Chino pulled thru and sounded amazing. Chino sang beautifully regardless of the shitty sound. I know that probably doesnt make much sense but it's hard to explain. Anyways, he's really talented. woot!

Whaddaya mean pink maggit sucks - its a fitting end to an amazing album! I had trouble getting into white pony, but its now my favorite chill out album (or its great for making out). It was a departure for the band, but it has a completely different energy from the others, I love deftones still, even if they remind me of the days when I listened to shite like coal chamber!

the deftones were my idols growing up, during the adrenaline and around the fur era. i even have a few really rare cds. I was totally pissed at chino when he became a fucking tammed hippie with white poney so i stoped listening to them, didnt hear any of their new shit after that. But deftones is the band that marked my youth. gotta respect that.

It looks like they're gonna do that sort of thing every other record (since last album was more ATF-ish).

I wish they'd tour with thier homies in Will Haven instead of. . .you know. . .bands I fucking HATE.

I was a huge Deftones fan until a couple of years ago when I just seemed to fade out of it a bit. We opened for them in Glasgow recently though and the new songs they were playing were incredible, so I reckon the new album could bring me back.
