So, just to see what I would get I typed Wesley Willis into the little search for keywords thing on the hookup page. To my great suprise actual people had heard of my personal favorite 300-350 pound homeless keyboardist. What's more, not only people but a SG knows about him! Eve is apperingtly a fan of Willis. Never would have guessed. Great tunes, however.

Yeah, we all dig the Willster and often many speak in Willisvoices for the sheer thrill of it all.

There's been a Wesley thread (or two) already. There, you'll find many adoring fans no doubt.

He reminds me of college days..sigh.

I saw him in a dive bar and he played like 4 songs got up and said..
" This metal chair is hurting my ass."
and walked off.

He was so big behind that little keyboard. It was cool.

I forgot about that...he head butted me too...it kind of hurt but I was drunk and it was sort of funny...I think I have a pic here somewhere...

Get the rat's nest off your head
Get that crazy-ass mullet off your skull
Take your ass to the barber shop
Tell the barber you're sick of looking like an asshole

I have a promo tape of Fabian Road Warrior. Ilike "Tripping Daisy" and "Silverchair" and I thinkit's cuz of the way he pronounces the names. He says "servercherr" for Silverchair, and...I can't really recreate the way he says "Tripping Daisy". You just have to hear it.
I also have a soft spot in my heart for Tripping Daisy since I saw them years ago on 120 Minutes and they seemed really HAPPY to be on there. Most bands went on like "We are laidback, MTV is evil, so we're gonna act bored." Tripping Daisy just acted ELATED, sorta queeny and campy and like they were really, really high. Maybe they were.
back to Wesley, I love how everything good is "whipping a horse's ass with a belt". For a while I used that phrase a lot in his honor; I need to revive it in my everyday speech.

wesley willis came to my town two years ago and my friend was absolutely obsessed with him so i went to check him out. the place was so fucking packed it was insane. i had never heard about him, my friend played me a few mp3's and i wasn't very impressed to say the least and i still went.

he went on stage 3 fucking hours late. and he fucking sucked. i'm sorry for you guys that like him, but some homeless keyboardist that repeats the same line over and over in his songs isn't anything fucking special. glad he can make some money from it, but holy fuck was i ever pissed off i waited 3 hours for that shit. i liked the grand buffet guy that played first. he did a hilarious cover of patrick swayze's 'she's like the wind' haahaa. wesley made his entrance by walking through the crowd and i was fucking frightened when he got near me. i don't know why. probably because he's so goddamned huge. anyways, after he played the first song i left.

so yeah... i don't like mr. willis. confused
