Thin Lizzy's "Live and Dangerous" is where it's at! Slayer's Decade Of Aggression is up high, too.

By far my favorite is NoMeansNo's Live and Cuddly. Good recording(s), the band in Europe (their best crowds) at the absolute peak of their career. Utterly fucking amazing.
And yeah, I've got a soft spot for The Song Remains the Same.
1. The Who - Live At Leeds
2. Neil Young - Live Rust
3. Allman Brothers - At The Fillmore East
4. Jimi Hendrix - Band Of Gypsys
5. James Brown - Live At The Apollo
6. Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison
7. Curtis Mayfield - Curtis/Live!
8. Jackson Browne - Running On Empty
9. Neko Case - The Tigers Have Spoken
oasis - familiar to millions
heaven and hell - live from radio city music hall
judas priest - '98 live meltdown
iced earth - alive in athens
metallica - live shit: binge and purge
metallica - S&M
ac/dc - live
sevendust- southside double wide: acoustic live
alice in chains - unplugged
i wish oasis released their unplugged as a cd. i loved that.
neat thread, I'm glad it got bumped. The first one that came to mind was Night of the Living Dead Boys just because it's way better than any of their studio albums. On the other end of the spectrum I really love Thelonious Monk Alone in San Francisco. There's lots of others already mentioned I agree with, but I didn't see these two.
i too am glad this was bumped (reminds me of many favorites have been mentioned, especially Live After Death & Delicate Sound of Thunder, amongst others.)...
two live ones I've always dug are Stevie Ray Vaughn's "Live Alive", especially Voodoo Chile & Superstition, and Neil Young & Crazy Horse's "Weld". I think those two recordings do a bit of justice to the tone those two wrenched out of their gear.
If just official, then:
1. Nirvana - MTV Unplugged in new York
2. Jimi Hendrix - Blue Wild Angel
3. Led Zeppelin - BBC Sessions
4. Led Zeppelin - How the West Was Won
5. Pink Floyd - Pulse, Disc 2 (DSOTM Live)
6. The Doors - In Concert
7. Led Zeppelin - DVD Set
8. Emerson, Lake, and Palmer - Welcome Back My Friends to the Show that Never Ends
9. Jimi Hendrix - Live at Woodstock
10. Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains the Same
