Nah, I don't really think she's that hot, either. She's just kinda sickly lookin' Not to say that I don't love her work with BSS and Metric, not to say I wouldn't put it in 'er, but y'know, she's not really especially attractive.

How can anything be semi-relevant? I'm pretty sure relevancy is a binary concept. Besides, Emily just had a pretty decently received solo album at the end of last year.
'Semi-relevant' is a caustic way of pointing out that many of the critically lauded groups don't always boast the largest fanbases, radio spins and sales numbers. There are bands playing Wachovia centers, there are bands playing TLAs, your binary theory is flawed outside of the semantical context.
So stop being a dick.
That's inconvenient.
gutterman
Yeah. That's about as important as a music discussion on a nudie website. Who cares?
It boils down to a band being in a magazine, which happens all the time. If people posted a thread everytime a known band was in a magazine, people would probably be pretty irked about it.

So basically, you're saying because Metric isn't a mass-market band, they're not relevant? I'm pretty sure your idea of musical relevance is totally out of whack. Classic rock dinosaurs sell out huge arenas in seconds, and they are FAR from relevant.
Bands may be in magazines all the time, but indie bands are not in Playboy all the time.
People who aren't buying Playboy for the articles are getting pretty poor value for money. What is it, $6.00 for maybe twenty pages of nudes printed on terrible paper? That's why they make the rest of the magazine so readable. The 20 Questions with Bettie Page in the current issue was far more interesting to me than any of the pictorials.

No, I'm saying they aren't a mass market band. I'm aware the fossils are just milking their name recognition, but some people jump on lesser known bands because they aren't the fossils. Relevance is incredibly subliminial.
And from what I gathered this is a special Playboy publication for what it's worth. I imagined they talk about bands a lot.
