Jay Price. I'm not even sure what genre he'd be considered. I guess it's trance music? Anyway, they were playing one of his songs as a promo for a show on the science channel, and something about it just got to me.
After catching him a few weeks ago and having a shit-load of shoveling to do I have had Marilyn Manson's discog on tap a lot. I listen to a lot of music but he's gettin' a lot of replay recently.
on a serious hardcore/post-hardcore kick at the moment: terror, verse, lionheart, la dispute, piano becomes the teeth, defeater, counterparts, from autumn to ashes, poison the well, more than life, etc.
Also, I recently purchased Caterwaul's Portent Hue album on CD, after owning it 3 separate times on cassette (over the course of 23 years), and playing each of those into the proverbial, warbly ground. It's one of my favorite albums of all time, and has been getting a lot of airplay around these here parts.
