Thom Yorke will debut two new Radiohead songs, "Videotape" and "Down is the New Up" from the band's yet-to-be-titled forthcoming LP, on a new internet televison show. The band's longtime producer, Nigel Godrich, created the show, entitled From The Basement, which premieres December 18th via the show's website and iTunes. In addition to Yorke's performance, The White Stripes will also stop by to perform a set of tunes. The show relies purely on musical performances forgoing a studio audience and is sans host as well. Godrich himself handles the live sound for the show filmed entirely in high-definition at London's Maida Vale studios.

Yeah, those songs are fucking great too.
Particularly "Videotape". Classic.

Thanks for putting that "Clock" performance
up too. I saw that once, but haven't seen it in a while.

I hope the new tracks reflect some of the interesting aesthetic directions Thom and Jonny have been exploring in their solo careers. I was really underwhelmed by "Hail to the Thief."

Live versions of the new stuff have been circulating for months. Search The Hype Machine for about 100 different versions of the same songs.

the first show went up today. I think it's fantastic, but then I really love radiohead and the white stripes. both the audio and video quality are excellent.
