MUSIC: The Killers Get Festive

Now that the media blitz over Sam's Town is over, Killers frontman Brandon Flowers can stop picking fights with emo bands and start preparing for the holiday season. Flowers and the other three Killers have announced that they will be releasing a new song to be as a download-only Christmas single.



The song, "A Great Big Sleigh", was recorded last week with bigshot producer Alan Moulder (Depeche Mode, Jesus & Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, etc.) and Flowers spoke to NME about the Killers atempting to be part of a greater tradition of pop stars making holiday songs and being nice to people.

If bitching and moaning about Fall Out Boy is acting like an adult, I must be elderly. "A Great Big Sleigh" will be available exclusively via I-Tunes starting December 5.

I liked the killers when their first song came out, before the singer starting talking.

This band is shitastic. I wish there was a disease called "my band sucks" so that douche nozzle would die already.

Aww, I like them. Flowers is pretty douchey, but their music is good. I'll probably end up getting the Christmas song.

Like the music, hate the band.

I remember his little quirrel with The Bravery last year... what a cunt.

The fact that this band has no strong identity of their own makes the prospect of them doing a Christmas song all the more tragic.

They play a Christmas show in ATL in a few days with Jet, AFI, and OK Go. I'll report if he says anything about them.
