american hardcore :the movie.

has anyone else gone to see this yet? I saw it and liked it ok. it could have been better. the best parts were seeing where all these old punk guys are now.

It was just okay. The author and filmmaker were at the screening, and I didn't particularly care for them.

I was pretty stoked to go see it, but I was stupid sick last week while it was here. Couldn't get out of work and every day I just felt like colapsing afterward, so I guess it'll be dvd for me. Did Husker Du get some time?? How about the Big Boys? I hope it isn't all Bad Brains, Black Flag & Dead Kennedys.

it is actually mostly black flag bad brains and dk. but everybody does get atleast a little bit of time.

any word on a DVD date?

No Dead Kennedys at all. The director said he left them out because there's so much contention between the members, and he wanted to highlight bands that didn't get as much press. Same with the Misfits. No Husker Du either, and I don't think it had the Big Boys. Tons of Black Flag and the Bad Brains.
