Is anyone else having bug issues with the new iTUNES?

If you haven't downloaded it, DON'T DO IT YET! iTUNES 7 was released, but it has a shitload of bugs...

I have two macs, and it isn't right for me...

Do your custom EQ settings work after the first song has played? (Don't "arrow" to the next song, just let it play thru to the next song, and see if your custom EQ settings work right)

Here Apple, I just made a new icon for this release:

The color of the new iTunes icon is enough of a reason not to install this update.

I plugged in my iPod using the new iTunes, it's on Manual (no sync), and I couldn't play 90% of my tracks on it... however, all my tracks still play on my iPod after I unplug it...

Let's also add that iTunes wouldn't open originally because Quicktime apparently didn't install...

*sighs*

iTunes 7 blows on windows.

Slow to sync, slow to download, won't recognize your iPod unless you fiddle with the services. Screws up the play lists on your ipod. I eventually had to reset my ipod and re-load everything to get itunes to work half assed. I like apple and my ipod but they screwed the pooch on this one.

If you don't have to, don't do it.

Apple actually has something of a history of releasing major updates in a substantially borked condition. They usually fix things pretty fast when it happens, though.

It took a long time to consolidate my music (and as always, it slows up my computer when it does tasks like sync), but after that it's been working fine for me. No choppiness at all.

I couldn't install it because my old quicktime wouldn't uninstall for the update. I did upgrade at work though and it works fine on my cpu there.

i had loads of probs - led me to reinstal window in the hope that would prevent the slow mo music.

wheni got back it wouldn't accept all my old music - has to put everything back in - losing all my play counts.

there probably was a way round this - but i couldn't work it out

i do like the panning CD covers though - even if it seems to be the most processor hungry thing on my computer

I agree, there's choppy playback occasionally but this was caused (for me at least) by downloading podcasts at the same time as playing music, for some reason if you download anything audio you get choppy playback.
Also, you have to admit, it might be a little buggy, but there are some cool new features.
Ok maybe just one, but it *is* neat.
Go to "View" then "View Options" (or just hit Ctrl+J) and you can now click a new column called Skip Counter and it does just that, tells you how often you skip a track so you can avoid it in future. Sure a little gimmicky, but neat nonetheless.

Trust me, if you make a custom EQ settings on your music, by the second song you will see that the EQ will not function as it's supposed to. If you don't use custom EQ settings, you wouldn't know that there is a problem. It works fine for those people who don't go deep with iTUNES functionallity.

Dependingon how deep your knowlege and usage of iTUNES is that will determine your "satifaction" with this release...

Ok, it's giving me shit now. SOME of my regular playlists won't let me change the order. There seems to be no determining factor here. Also, when attempting to burn a cd, it takes a 4:19 song (the last song on the disc), and keeps cutting it down to 9 seconds. For no apparent reason. I've checked the song to make sure it wasn't ACTUALLY 9 seconds long and it's fine. I've burned it three times now, with the same result. FUCKING ITUNES! Never had any problems before, now I need to see if I can find an old version somewhere that's not buggy as fuck.

Seems to work okay, except that every time I open a new window, my left speaker goes out. I don't get it, but just clicking pause then play seems to bring it back...

Now Apple came out with iTUNES 7.0.1 and still problems exist with the EQ, and my mouse seems like it is moving slower. (Setting is set to max, but seems slower after download)

...Still, don't bother downloading yet...
