Not my favourite, but certainly funny to listen to:

The man Don't Give A Fuck
- Super Furry Animals

They said it abour 52 times or something.

Oh and I don't really see Radiohead as pop confused

Another from Liz Phair - "Supernova"

"... and you fuck like a volcano..."

She puts such a great emphasis on the word that it makes the rest of the song seem so pop-ish. I love singing it. miao!!

NIN - Closer

I love how radio stations play that song, and cut the sound everytime he says fuck.

why bother playing it on the radio? It's like showing Pulp Fiction on network TV. The edited version is 23 seconds long.

"88 Lines About 44 Women" - Nails

I remember when it came out. It was very popular on 98 Rock (Baltimore) and they played it unedited...

'add it up' by the violent femmes was a good call...maybe 'erotic city' by prince...or maybe '88 lines about 44 women' by the nails...i guess...i really don't consider any of the bands/artists mentioned to be 'pop'...and if you're going to use it as a 'broad,' collective term [i.e. 'pop'-ular music], then you kind of have to include 'metal or rap or punk.'

Well consdering how well the Beautiful South sold their greatest hits compilation, "Carry On Up the Charts", I'd lump them in with pop. Just because they aren't popular on this side of the Atlantic doesn't mean they aren't pop.

These songs all make me realize what a great word fuck is when it's saved for a special occasion. I need to say it less so it sounds cooler when I do. smile

the thing that really freaks me out about that song is that it says 'fuck' and weird al directed the video. he seems so incredibly, painfully childish and sugary sweet that i just about flipped when i foud out he kinda helped promote the word 'fuck'. or am i the only one that thought this about weird al? probably the only one that thinks about weird al.
