in my opinion, this is a non-issue, as danzig WAS the misfits. they need to hang it up. it's too bad he won't do a reunion, as his current music is....um.....lacking in quality as well.

but I have to say Micheal Graves is good.. as long as it Graves and not The Misfits. The Misfits aren't THE MISFITS without Glenn.

Okay, here's my paradox. Definitaly old MISFITS! I have only bought Evillive II since the band has gotten back together. However, I have seen the band about five times since '97. Why? Jerry and Doyle still rock. They at least, still put on a good show. Does it live up to their past legacy? NO! But seeing some of the oldschool crew live still kicks ass. By the way, Michael Graves fucking sucks end of story. (Sorry but it has to be said.)

saying the Misfits were made by Glenn is pure bull pucky. true, he was HUGE. how could you replace that voice? but saying that is like saying guns 'n roses isn't gund 'n roses with Axl. partially true... but how could you rule out slash so easily?

It's not Guns w/out Axl... Just like I don't consider them Guns any more because Duff and Slash are out...

and If you like the new misfits stuff.. Check out Graves. It's Micheal Graves' solo album. He's got a good voice. Just keep in mind it IS a separate entity than The Misfits.

I like them both . I have seen them both . I must say Glen is a little troll . . . and he is the reason they broke up in the first place . Regardless , I am glad the remaining guys got to see some sunlight and make a little money as the new misfits . Graves did a good jpb in my oppinion . . . I saw them more as the new band than I ever did as the old one . I think it is just a mater of taste .

Here in San Diego we have a little thing called the Comic Con , of which wee glen is a regular . I always make my wife go stand next to him ( she is 5'0" ) and is always a bit taller than he is , even with his lifter boots . he is a funny little fellow

Graves was great and so was Danzig!

Good luck to Jerry and more power to him, to me Jerry is the Misfits and I'll support any decision he makes and follow the band in any direction he leads.

i believe Jerry deserves his cut of the royalties from the back-catalog but i wouldn't say he IS the Misfits. he was just the bass player. if Danzig beat him to the punch and came back as the Misfits with some nobodies backing him up it would sound alot better than the Jerry Only Experience, but it still wouldn't be the same. you know Jerry is pushing it when he's not even writing new material and releasing a cover album

eveyone knows the dis-fits suck.
but as a typical person with good taste would say and probably has ( i am too lazy to read thru all of these threads)
misfits with danzig = good
Samhain besides the last album = good
danzig 1-4 = good
anything else = crap.
Did any one see danzig in portland last time? i felt bad for him. he used to have such a voice and now he is bloated like stevie nicks and sings like a frog. But he is way better than that douche that sings for the dis-fits.

And Danzig was what made them great to begin with; he was the obbessive perfectionist that made them the band they are worshipped for. Mind you, I don't hate the new stuff, and Danzifg has made some pretty crappy music in his time, but what he did for punk (with the help of Jerry Only), just can't be re-created with some white make-up, hair gel, and numerous hours in the gym.
