Most times I think people who sign up for pre-sales are crazy obsessive TRL types who scream "Whoo!" alot. I mean, who's got $20 to pony up for an album you haven't heard? I like music, but I like eating and making rent more.

Well, Citizen Cope's Presale is a little more interesting.

If you pre-order Citizen Cope's new album "Every Waking Moment," due September 12th, you'll receive an autographed copy. As an additional bonus you'll receive a limited edition EP with 4 songs which includes three live acoustic songs, plus an alternate version of "107 Degrees" featuring Alice Smith. Not enough? You also get a sticker!

You can stick it anywhere you want!

Finally, you get entered in a contest. One lucky winner will walk away with an autographed, framed, handwritten personalized lyric sheet to one of Cope's songs. I don't know which song, but possibly one of these...

The official tracklisting for "Every Waking Moment:"

1. Back Together
2. Every Waking Moment
3. Friendly Fire
4. More Than It Seems
5. Brother Lee
6. 107 degrees
7. Somehow
8. John Lennon
9. All Dressed Up
10. Awe
11. Left For Dead

As mentioned earlier, Cope has posted 4 of his songs from the new album at his myspace address. You can listen to "Back Together," "More than it seems," "Brother Lee," and "Somehow." So actually you can listen before you kick in. But what's the fun in that?

if, at the age of 28, you still find that $20 is the difference between making rent and going homeless, you might at this point consider trying to find a job. wink
