You can't judge a book by its cover. Everybody knows that. But you can judge a CD by its tracklisting. In a surprise move, The Rapture have unveiled the titles of all the tracks for their forthcoming album "Pieces of People We Love." Confidence must be high in the following titles:

'Don Gon Do It'
'Pieces Of The People We Love'
'Get Myself Into It'
'First Gear'
'The Devil'
'Whoo! Alright - Yeah... Uh Huh'
'Calling Me'
'Down For So Long'
'The Sound'
'Live In Sunshine'

You were informed that the album's release is set for September 12th in the US and September 4th in the UK. You were also informed that the new album had added flair from producers Danger Mouse, Bloc Party collaborator Paul Epworth and Chemical Brothers remixer Ewan Pearson.

What you may not know is:

The biggest difference between this record and the last record is that we took a long time to write the songs," Rapture frontman Luke Jenner told NME.COM. "We found most people put out their first record and its their best record. We wanted to avoid that so we wanted to spend a lot of time writing and and I think the songs are better. We wrote like 40 songs this time, instead of 12 last time."

To listen to their first single, "Get Myself Into It," head over to their myspace page.

If you're still unsure of the potential improvement this album may bring to your life, maybe you need the Universal Treatment in a way that only Rachel Hendry can provide. The official press release! Sell it sister:

Pieces of the People We Love was written over the course of 12 months after the band had finished touring their debut. Knuckling down to writing duties upon their return to New York, the group emerged in a confident stride with 30 songs in their pocket and an itch to get into the studio.
Whats come out of these sessions is an album that winds a course from pop-funk smash (the call-and-response refrains of Whoo! Alright-YeahUh Huh. are a grin-so-hard-it-hurts delight) to psychedelic (Live In Sunshine); The Rapture show their softer side on tunes like Calling Me, then resolutely wipe the slate clean with the blast of energy that is "The Sound." All in all, this record is the sound of a band more focused, having too much fun and without a thought to any hipster pre-conceptions that might be held of them. It's the sound of a party to which everyone is invited.

Oh Yay! A party! Thanks but I only go to cool parties, bitch.
