Okay, so, a friend of mine got her bellybutton pierced, and it looks really hot. For a fleeting moment, I was thinking of having mine done. I was wondering, are belly button piercings on guys purely a gay thing? If so, they shouldn't be.
I mean, I'm not quite gay, but I ain't exactly narrow. I've been told many times that aside from the fact that I like girls, I'm pretty damn gay. So, I guess I shouldn't be fretting about this so much, but y'know, social mores and everything.
Does anybody know any straight guys with belly button piercings? What do the ladies think?
Well, I worked in a piercing shop, and yes, it is generally a gay boy thing, mainly because most straight men don't wear belly-bearing shirts as much as women might. However, I think it's totally stupid and think that if you want one, go for it. Of course I love gender benders. Some of the hottest piercings I've ever seen: my friend who owns a piercing shop down in Berkeley, he had his bellybutton done, and he was just such a hot little package overall (I never ever let on to him that I thought that though, he was pretty grumpy), and I always thought it was sexier then all geeyout, that and his sock garters. I also had the mad hots for this guy at one point who had a pearl Marilyn Monroe... he was very pretty as well, and listened to far too much Marc Almond for any one human being (and he was the first guy I ever met who shaved himself bald, which is this enormous fetish of mine, thanks to him... he told me he shaved daily...)
My point being that so what if something comes off a bit gay? Some girls like femmeboys. Or perhaps just men who have the cajones to do what they want, irregardless. Either way, it equals sexy. And you know what? If everyone else in the entire universe thinks it's lame, and you like it, they can piss off. Seriously. Someone will always love you.

I say go for it. I'm a guy, and I've mulled over getting it done or not, and i'm very straight. I just decided not to because like Dia said noone would ever see it except in the summer when i'm on the lake. One of my managers where I work has his nipple, and his belly button pierced. he also has two kids, and he kicks ass. So Fuck the people who would say you;re gay because of it. My hair was Bright Purple two months ago, and I took alot of shit for it, but fuck them i wanted it that way. I Like you apparently am often confused for being gay. and I really don;t care. Girls always want the gay guys anyways so it works to my advantage....yea right. anywho thats my input.
Yeah, and if me and my buddies want to dress up in sequence sailor suits what right do people have for suspecting we're homosexuals? Seriously though, most people will just assume your a raging homosexual, but if that doesn't bother you, than flame on brother!
