I wanna know what you think, after having survived yet another one of these. Strangely, I didn't punch anyone today.

As you can tell, I'm firmly in the "YES IT FUCKING HAS" camp. What do you all think?

yeah, but it's not talk like a pirate day's fault. the internet wore pirates out years ago, along with ninjas, zombies, monkeys, and all that other ironic crap everyone should be sick of by now.

hard to gauge, because in my estimation, the overall pirate obsession jumped the shark with Talk Like A Pirate Day. So saying that the day itself jumped the shark is a bit meta.

(on a related note, has the term "jumped the shark" jumped the shark yet? I mean, it's a Happy Days reference. Shouldn't we be finding something... newer maybe?)

And Talk Like a Pirate Day is annoying. And that's coming from someone who knows about pirates and being annoying.

I would make a lengthy argument here for their awesomeness, but that would be the first step in The Internet Ruining Cowboys.

It's better that these tubes DON'T KNOW how great they are!

My dad's business partner had to tell his 22 year old son that it was "Talk Like A Pirate Day". I think this time Fonzie didn't clear the shark...

I think I now know why there was 100 stupid people dressed like pirates at a tattoo shop down the street from Rigels house on the 19th.

What about "swear like a sailor" day? Atleast that would be funny.

Those people clearly have reading comprehension problems.
