You're suppposed to hate it, but at least some of you have some good recipes. Or some horror stories.

Mine, minus measurements because I don't care for them,

some ground chuck
some ground sirloin
kosher salt
pepper
cayenne
maybe some chilli powder
maybe some old bay
maybe celery salt
maybe onion powder
garlic powder
an egg
however much stale italian bread
some canned carrots, mushrooms and greenbeans.

mold that and put it on a cookie sheet in a preheated 350 oven for 15 minutes.

then put on a glaze of ketchup, horseradish, worcestershire, tobasco, pepper, honey and cumin. Go for spicy.

Cook until about 150-155 degrees.

My only horror story was when I thought lettuce would be a good ingredient for meatloaf. I was drunk.

I'm so, so glad this is about the food and not the singer.

Meatloaf and mashed potatoes is yummy.

apparently, Meatloaf is a vegetarian too. weird, eh? anyway, try this Neatloaf of mine:

1 cup soya mince
1.5 cups vegetable stock
1 medium onion
1 jalapeno
1 crust of bread
1 egg (omit for vegan)
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp coriander leaf/cilantro
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp mushroom soy sauce
olive oil
salt & pepper

feeds: 4 hungry people!

soak your soya in the boiling stock, with the soy sauce, and some pepper, until it's soaked up all the stock. set to cool somewhere, as you'll be handling this later.

rip the bread up a bit, and throw it in the food processor, along with the oregano, chili powder, coriander leaf, and the jalapeno (slice it a bit first). add this mix to a bowl, with the onion (finely chopped), soya mince and egg. get your hands in there! mix this lot up, thoroughly, and shape into a loaf.

put it on a baking try, thinly coat it in olive oil, and cook at gas mark 6 for about 45 minutes

oink

Meatloaf Collapsed on stage last week. I'd rather have a candlelight vigil for him than for creepy ol Michael Jackson. I think I'll have a meatloaf vigil instead.

ARRR!!!

Meatloaf collapsed on stage? Nooooo. Say it isn't so. frown

Bat out of Hell is a great album. Oh my gosh, I love the terrible dialogue at the beginning of "You Took the Words Right out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)."
