Yup.

If you absolutely MUST keep using your beloved IE (I'm assuming that's what you're using), get yourself a Google toolbar.

Upgrade to SP2 if you're on Windows XP, their popup blocker is actually pretty killer. The Google toolbar popup blocker misses quite a few.

I have firefox, but i never use it when im on SG because everytime i reload it takes like a minute and a half for the page to load, and i have dsl. On the bottom it will say "transferring data from Indieclick.com" for like a minute.

I haven't had a single problem with SP2. Adobe usually has its fingers fully wedged up its ass, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's an issue they took care of eventually.

It sounds like you have more than just pop-up problems, this makes it sound like you've got spyware/adware installed as well.

I concur.

Ever since spybot, my crappy computer has been running like a non-crappy computer.

yes, changing browsers is completely the solution to solving popups... that's like buying a new car because your car needs new tires.

They're saying that because Firefox blocks popups really well. And I won't install Service Pack 2 for the time being, just too many horror stories.

It's more like getting a brand-new car, for FREE, because your old car is poorly designed, inefficient, and has transmission problems.

No. Buying a new computer would be the equivalent of buying a new car because your car needs new tires.
