Sarah Silverman's one-woman-movie-show, "Jesus Is Magic," is premiering in LA on Thursday at the ArcLight, and LAist is giving away tickets to the show. In a new interview with Nerve, Silverman discusses saying the "n-word" in her act, explains how she stubbed her vagina, and opines about the TV pilot she created for Comedy Central.
You play yourself in the Comedy Central show. Is it the real you?
It's a cuntier version of myself. Same as in the movie, a kind of alter ego, but not that alter. It has my favorite combination of things, totally fucking absurd but played very real and very small. I love that contrast. I hate it when people jizz all over their shows, but I'm going to do it anyway. It's awesome. And when I say it's awesome, it's not like I'm saying, "I'm so awesome." Though I am a little bit awesome.
I've really been looking forward to this. I first saw the trailer a couple of weeks ago at the SXSW website. I'll have to go to Austin to see it, they'll never allow it in this hick town.

I love Sarah.
Where did you see it was playing in Austin?
It's not, yet. Right now it's only scheduled in Dallas, but I'm assuming, or hoping, Austin will be added to the shedule. Just seems natural given the Austin demographic and that it was part of SXSW this year.
