Put all that you've learned to use. You're not a kid anymore.

That said, it does take time to readjust.

can't help with the career thing, but my one suggestion is make sure whatever you do you enjoy and don't always take the first opportunity that comes your way as it might not be the best option.. but your futures in your hands so make the most of it and good luck smile

Do what you enjoy in life. It's really that simple. If you do what you ENJOY in life, life is never work, and if it's never work for you, you will eventually be successful at it. Why? Becasue you're good at it and you enjoy it.

Life is significantly more than mortgages, insurance payments and sitting in a cubical 9 to 5. While God rules your fate, you still have to make the decisons on how and where to go.

Though it may not always turn out in my favor and my life tends to be somewhat of a mess... i've just kind of gone through life by letting fate take me down whatever road it chooses to.

Plans never work anyway.

Try to do something in your field that you love.
Settling is lame, and depressing.

You're probably going to have to work hard, and convince people to give you money. Hopefully you'll figure out how the market sees you and how you can make it all work.

Continuouisly building a good resume from job to job matters for corporate stuff.

For entrepeneurial stuff, for raising money, getting one good investor helps get more, but getting the first one may be the hardest work. Same with clients if thats how you make money.

Always save for retirement.

Try to make as much money as you need and need as much money as you make.

And be happy. Sadness and drama gets into your worklife and drains your prospects and opportunities. Take acre of thaqt stuff as soon as you can.

And wear lots of sunblock!

Put off "the real world" and teach in Japan for a while. That's what I did!

(Ok, so in my case it's actually tied to my degree in Japanese Studies, but most people on JET have nothing to do with Japan beforehand.)
