Bond fans apparently have nothing to worry about. One of the co-stars of new flick "Casino Royale" says actor Daniel Craig does the super-agent franchise proud.
According to Caterina Murino, who plays 007's lover in the 21st Bond flick, Craig brings something new to the role.
"When he's going to kill someone, he looks like a real killer. When he kisses me, when he makes love, he's so sexy."
Um, it's called acting. Still, Craig must be grateful for the ringing endorsement. Fans of the series - and some critics - piled on when he was cast as the new Bond, saying he was the wrong choice.
"How can a short, blond actor with the rough face of a professional boxer and a penchant for playing killers, cranks, cads and gigolos pull off the role of a tall, dark, handsome and suave secret agent?"
Moviegoers will have the chance to decide for themselves. "Casino Royale comes out November 17, 2006.
Uh, Killer, crank, cad, gigolo... right, Bond or the actors who ever played him were never these things
Let the movie come out people, see how he does, then love or hate 'em. Hell, Ian Fleming hated Sean Connery when he was cast... Fleming always said Bond looked like Hoagy Carmichael
If you think James Bond is corny but like the idea of watching people do paperwork at the SIS office, you might like The Sandbaggers, I think it's the best spy series ever but it might try your attention span.
If you've seen Daniel Craig in any of his other films (Enduring Love spring to mind) you'll realise he is phenomenal actor. I would be extremely surprised if he didn't walk it.
