In an alarming show of clear thinking and good taste (shareholders must have been pissed), News Corp chairman Rupert Murdoch has canceled the O.J. Simpson book and television interview If I Did It - the controversial exploration of the Nicole Simpson/Ron Goldman murders from O.J.'s perspective if he were guilty. The special and book were scheduled to dreck up the American consciousness next week.

"I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project," said Rupert Murdoch, News Corp. chairman. "We are sorry for any pain that his has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson."

Simpson has already been sucking the cock of the dark overlord Satan for years, due to his alleged dark deeds. Now, having engineered this failed exploitation train wreck "publisher" Judith Regan can join him in the souless abyss on suck detail.

No word yet on whether or not the Musical has also been cancelled. -Ed.

He is still a guilty piece of crap. The investigation is allegedly still "ongoing" so maybe he will have his day after all.

This cancellation comes AFTER those dozen or so affiliates decided not to broadcast the special. This is now a full cancellation of both the special, and of the book.

If you don't believe it, check the source material for confirmation of this.

Actually, it started off with only a few affiliates saying they wouldn't air the special, but now News Corp. owner of Fox and the company that was publishing has decided this whole thing was too fucked up, even for Fox.

Anyways, always a good idea to read the article through before you comment on it, but if you still don't believe it: OJ Special and Book canceled.

Anyways, on a positive note, wow, News Corp isn't totally evil (only 99%).

Except he can't.

If you mean because he was found innocent (of course the prosecution really flubbed it anyway - they tried to suppress the fact that a lab preservative additive EDTA was found in the blood supposed found in the Bronco, for one which is indicative of blatant evidence-tampering), and having been found innocent cannot be retried, he was found guilty in the civil suit and has not yet paid any of the court-ordered restituion, so by law he should still "Have his day," although that seems unlikely since it hasn't yet happened. Conversely, I have a neighbour (neither rich nor famous) who was late paying a 150 dollar restituion for his dog tainting a lawn and has been in county lockup since last year. Go figure.

Right!

I was genuinely happy to read that they cancelled the show and book today. But then I was genuinely bummed to read that PJ is not directing the Hobbit and whatever other prequel is going to be made. Siiiiigh.

Material soaked with blood shrinks and hardens when it dries. He was found guilty (to the extreme) in the civil case regarding the same incident. The jury fucked up on this one.

And while we're at it, why did the gloves have to be ON his hands. The prosecution fucked up there.

By moving to Florida, he does not have to uphold payment for the civil suit. (at least that is what I have heard)
