Knowing how much more painless it is to use the search button rather than the add topic button......I revive this.....

I have been watching MST since getting my paws on the dvd box set that came out. I don't know that I have a favorite episode, at least not one that I remember the title of....

Some of my favorite lines:

"He's not dead, he's metaphysically challanged"

"Wow, it's pretty dark out for noon." (Said while a car is driving with its lights on and it is obviously the middle of the day)

"Look Bob, there's a live thing, maybe you should shoot it." (repeated throughout since Bob once shot a native)

And the many, many Kim Catrell references in one episode.

New question for everyone!!!!!!!!!:

Joel or Mike?....discuss.........I prefer Joel, Mike is kinda boring.

I don't really mind Mike, but I think I enjoyed Joel better. To me it seemed like Joel just fit the part better. I was bummed when Trace decided to move on and not do the role of Dr. Forrester anymore, I really didn't get into Pearl that much. I think they should have taken the character of Pearl another direction.

"Joel? Why would someone want to do that with Mitchell?"

Joel was the best. No doubt.

Another personal favorite is "I Accuse My Parents", mainly for the opening courtroom scene and "I like Jell-O!"

"Meanwhile, in yet another movie..."

Who am I kidding? There are too many quotes. Too many! I LUV MST3K. There, I said it. Joel was more animmated, but I always liked Mike's comments better. Hmmmm.

well i must say that joel was an good host
hell he created the show
but behind every great host there is a great writer
and that writer was mike nelson
joel would have nothing with out mike
and mike relates to the dumb cracker in all of us
he points out the simple things and that is what makes the funny
and i was in a slump in 1997 and an episode of mst3k pulled me out it was "jack frost "
yes nastica and the whole bad cinderella story pulled me out of a realy bad time in my life and made me realise that i could laugh
scence then ive been laughing at all of you
and my screwed up life
but sat morning (damn who wakes up at 8 on a saterday)
i make a effort to arise from my slumber
with the help of the mexican gardener and his goddamed leafblower
to watch the best show ever put on the tv
hell it is the only time i even watch tv

ps i met mike at a seminar in wisconson a few years back he is awesome i had to end the conversation he wouldent stop talking about ranch dressing

"mitchell" is definitely the best episode, and "manos - the hands of fate" is without a doubt the worst.
