What makes Don Coscarelli unique amongst the masters of horror is that the majority of his films are good. i did a double take when i saw the heading...Don Coscarelli...
I thought his Incident on and Off a Mountain Road was great. It was great they kicked it off with his... sadly the rest of the series was eh. I didnt realize he made Beastmaster...wow.... I hope for another Bubba Ho-Tep Film.
Saw Incident On and Off a Mountain Road last night and thought it was okay. It had some good gore in it and moments of suspense but lost a bit of it's luster towards the end. Moon face wasn't played up enough or allowed to be as scary and creepy as he could have been. Once he entered the picture the rest of the film was of him getting his ass kicked by the heroine turning the movie into something as scary as an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Not to mention the guy she married in the movie, and the main point of the movie, was a total nut job from the begining. I think I would have enjoyed the flick more if I didn't have to buy into the premise so much and the character of Moonface had been explored a lot better.
