Jesus, are you people fucking dense? It's an oversized stretch SUV limo. That DOES (at least to me) kinda scream conservative. Though actually just more of the vapid consumerism you'd tend to see on another part of the site. And it gets grounded on one of San Francisco's many steep hills. If this had to happen anywhere, it's RIGHT that it happened in Frisco.

You know in Metal Gear Solid, when Solid Snake leaves a footprint somewhere or has his arm accidentally sticking out, and the genome soldier has a question mark appear above his head?
This news story makes me feel that way.
If it is a news story, and not an overblown blog entry, which is what it feels like.
Which is why if you check the tabbed icon under the story title, it's "Commentary" rather than "News" that's highlighted.

The first word in the title is NEWS. I think people are pointing out that it's a non-story because it's rather obvious that a stretch SUV limo is blatant conservatism...and the fact that the article doesn't make much sense.

Well, the title says "News" and the first post says "Culture", so I don't see "Commentary" anywhere. Plus, none of that changes the fact that he picks stupid topics, decides to approach them in a non-sensical (often sophomoric) way, and then can't write about them with any skill or clarity. Even if he's here for pure commentary and nothing else, that shouldn't remove the need for him to be a good writer.
