I watched about the first ten episodes, then it became an effort and I got bored shitless and stopped watching.

It seems to me it will be one of those shows that is never resolved and just drags on forever until finally it doesn't get enough ratings and will be cancelled.

Dumb.

It had so much potential too.

Au Contraire, ma soeur. Lindelof and Cuse have already written the first 6!! seasons. They have also written contingency scripts in case, A) The series gets cancelled or B) One of the writers dies or becomes too ill to continue the show. They have also said that the show is DEFINITELY going somewhere.

The show is amazing. It got kind of slow during the middle of season two but the season finale made it TOTALLY worth the wait.

LOST is the BEST thing on television in a long time.

Really? Wow, I didn't know that. It just seemed to be totally meandering.

I have missed so much now though anyway.

I got SO sick of them saying week after fricken' week "Next week, you will SEE what's in the jungle!"

Next week all I saw was more rustling fucking bollocky bushes mate.

No, You should definitely go back and watch it. You can purchase it all from itunes if you use that program. It's worth it to catch up, trust me.

Don't worry, the wait isn't that long.

End of September there will be 6 episodes, then a mini cliffhanger, then in January there will be 17 straight episodes!!!!

Can you tell I'm a Lostie?

The second season was better than the first. And that's saying a lot.

Definitely. And yet, for all the stuff that got answered in the season finale, there were still so many threads that were unaccounted for...I'm really anticipating the third season...as well as the box set for the second season! Man, I'm gonna be scrutinizing that thing so much...

I really like it, but having watched the end of season 2 and knowing there might be 6 seasons is... bleh.
I mean, I like the tension, the David-Lynch-wanabe script, I don't really mind no one in the show got a tan after 2 seasons... But I'm getting tired of the extra arbitrary mystery. I don't think people in desperate situations are THAT secretive or have such inclination to lying. And I'm not even mentioning things that were just forgotten (like the monster thing, the slave ship, etc.).

Still, I'm wating for the 3rd season. whatever

none of that is forgotten. it all comes back up in season three and someone mentioned that

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
we actually saw the monster. we just didn't realize we were seeing it...I personally think it could have been the black smoke that jack sees and thinks it's Sayid warning him that he found the camp

I stopped watching it because I couldn't get over how everyone lied to each other all the damned time. Given that they were stuck on an island in the middle of no where with no way of contacting anyone for rescue it seemed suicidally counterproductive to be freaking out about all the ridiculous things they took time out of their day to flip out about.

Also, they never built a fortified position even though they had lots of available metal, tools, weapons, and pretty much anything and everything you'd need to construct a wooden palisade. They just sat out on the beach. It drove me nuts. My brother eventually kicked me out of the room because I wouldn't stop going on about it.

So, I like the concept, and to a certain extent I like the show, but the added drama of 'OhMGEE I am Teh Arrested In the Real World!' is too much for me to deal with without unleashing a constant stream of commentary and invective, and no one wants me around when I do that. : (

I am all the way gay for "Lost". OK, so the second season doesn't have as much thorough, flashback-driven character development as the first did. Other than that, it's super sweet. Lots of delicious weirdness awaits..

The second season drags in the middle, but (imo) speeds up at the end. I actually can't wait for the next season. For all of you who aren't in the US and haven't seen the finale...hang in there.

Or that. But, the problem with that is that you have to wait even longer for the next season to begin. frown

i reckon the show is smart going into flash backs so they can stretch out the main story but it gives me the shit at times. still a good show
