Actually, this isn't neccessarily so, because bees and wasps/hornets have different kinds of venom. I'm strongly allergic to wasp and hornet venom, but not to bee venom.

Unfortunately, I've found this to be quite true. If after being stung you break out in hives or start feeling shortness of breath, get to the ER fast.
