You know that Queen song, "Bicycle Race"? The one that goes: "I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike. I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride it where I like." That song seemed to be stuck in heads throughout the city today, making it feel like all of the boroughs were preparing for a Critical Mass. It was all I could do to snap a couple of pictures before rushing home to get on my own sweet, purple Huffy chopper and set those streamers to the wind!

There's something so fit and sporty about the messenger look: the pants rolled knee-high, the ankle socks and cap. This lean green cycling machine appears so zen amidst the eternal, rushing chaos of the city. He reminds me of a modern, urban Robin Hood, and the fellows below could be his band of merry men...

This gang of righteous outlaws, comprised of and welcoming riders ranging from mods and rockers to preppies, is about to ride their bicycles across America, stealing cars from the rich and replacing them with...yes, you guessed it: Bikes!
