CELEB: Steve-O Diagnosed with Life-Threatening Illness

While guest-hosting radio show Loveline this week, “Jackass” and “Wildboyz” star Steve-O admitted he is suffering from a life-threatening cardiac condition called cardiomyopathy.

The American Heart Association stated cardiomyopathy is “a serious disease in which the heart muscle becomes inflamed and doesn't work as well as it should. “ Sufferers may experience arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death.

Loveline doc Drew Pinsky added Steve-O’s treatments may include a heart transplant or getting an electrical defibrillator implanted.

Steve-O’s reps declined comment on his condition, but I’m sure we can anticipate several more years of Steve-O stapling his scrotum to his leg.

To think that he'll most likely leave this world due to a medical condition, not the crazy stunts, seems so ironic that it will probably happen that way. A shame too .. I like him.

I don't know. He is moderatly famous so I am guessing he has a good chance of getting a transplant. Just look at Pete Rose.

So what sort of crazy shit are the pallbearers going to do? They should start planning that now.

I'm just waiting for the Steve-O heart surgery special, where they'll secretly replace the doctor with Johnny Knoxville. What a hoot!

After that little nugget of information.... my day is complete.

I caught that episode of loveline and was very hooked. He invited two girls down to the station to see him, one happened to be a fledling Porn Star.

Jokes aside I hope he gets better, odd that I care about a guy who got famous buy being a complete jackass. Usually I loathe that side of our society, but I genuinely like Steve-O. Goodluck bud

I suggest throwing his coffin and body into a wood-chipper in front of his horrified family. Or taking a crap in the casket if he has a viewing.

My theory is that his heart is so messed up because of possible cocaine abuse.

That's hilarious.

Damn, and I was only hoping that he would put staples through his nuts and become sterile.

If he used his first Jackass paychecks to get those nice, pearly white teeth, I don't see any problem w/him getting a transplant or other medical solution.

I wish him the best. Wildboyz is one of the funniest (and oddly, also very educational) shows on TV.
