I just heard what I think is Gwen Sefani singing bits of Tevya's 'If I were a rich man' song. I really don't know what to think of this. I mean... I just... *sigh* I dunno. But I know the reference, and I bet that it's lost on most people listening to the song, which is sad because Fiddler on the Roof is such a great story.
I would have thought that fiddling on the roof would be dangerous. Is it really the sort of behaviour that pop princesses should be championing; is it the example that you want set for your minor dependants?

Down with this sort of thing.
In the story the precarious nature of a fiddler on the roof is a major theme.
Man, now I really want to watch Fiddle on the Roof. Hmm. I'm going to put pants on and go to Blockbuster.

Is Tipper (The Truck) Gore aware of this, I'm sure she'd have something to say about that sort of behaviour. As to precariousness on roof tops just ask Rod Hull. Well you can't sadly.
