I hated Brown Bunny even more... I just think that daVinci Code is fine as a book, good fun, but the book has not so much action anyway, so the movie was really blablabla... and boring. And they removed all what was fun in the book, which goes quite into detail about the whole Opus Dei thing. The movie doesn't really explain anything about it.
Here in Europe, DaVinci Code is quite a massive flop. But really, I have more against Brown Bunny than DaVinci Code...

Flop according to who?
"On the global front, The Da Vinci Code played nearly everywhere and claimed the highest-grossing foreign start in history, raking in $147 million since Wednesday to narrowly surpass Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith's $145.5 million from the same period last year."
I thought the book was quite poorly written and fond of annoying narrative tricks like constantly hinting at some dark secret that the characters know but you can't because then something later would be spoiled. And the Opus Dei and Jesus having children stuff was not especially new to me. (Preacher did the whole Holy Grail / bloodline of Jesus thing much more entertainingly.)
But I figure the movie, not having to slavishly mimic Dan Brown's shitty writing, and having a good director and cast, could possibly have achieved "mediocre thriller". Apparently not.

Your opinion of yourself is seriously overinflated. Not to flame, but can you ever post anything that doesn't make you sound arrogant and self-righteous?
You know, sometimes it is ok to like books that are just entertaining thrillers and not have it be life changing. Doesn't mean the book sucks. Just means it's not War and Peace or something. And thats ok.
