Never mind the little problem of their skivvies, and forget all about any likelihood of voting or driving. Saudi Arabian womenno, scratch that: not just women (that's old news), but even their printed imagesare being vilified and criminalized. Think a cartoon of Muhammed will get you jihadified? Whatever you do, don't publish a photograph of a woman (even in her traditional Muslim headscarf) in a Saudi newspaper!
King Abdullah has told Saudi editors to stop publishing pictures of women because they could lead young men astray, newspapers reported Tuesday.
In recent months, newspapers have published pictures of women always wearing the traditional Muslim headscarf to illustrate stories. The stories usually have had to do with women's issues.
The papers have also started publishing a range of views on causes that are not generally accepted in Saudi Arabia such as women having the right to drive and vote.
The king told editors on Monday night that publishing a woman's picture was inappropriate.
"One must think, 'do they want their daughter, their sister, or their wife to appear in this way?' Of course, no one would accept this," the newspaper Okaz quoted Abdullah as saying.
Muslims don't generally believe in reincarnation, but I can't help wondering just how badly behaved a person would have to be in a former life to warrant being reborn asgaspa woman in Saudi Arabia. I mean, you'd have to be pretty goddamned bad, right? Like, "I was a Saudi Arabian man" bad, even.
There is nothing more evil and perverse than a woman's sexuality. We must all find religion before we allow these people to take over our minds. Take over our mind with vaginas.

Go, go alone. It's to late for me! My brain thinks about everything that is the female form!

Yes, He's totally right. It's not like:
"One must think, 'do they want their daughter, their sister, or their wife to be one of the king's harem cattle?' Of course, everybody would accept this,"

To truly find peace brother, offer the vagina sacrifices five times daily.
Just be sure not to offend the vagina you choose to kneel down for. The wrath of the vagina is no laughing matter.
Eat your vitamins, say your prayers, and listen to the vagina, for it is not only your deity, it is your friend.

You know, you'd think these guys wouldn't fear being corrupted by something they consider an object to buy and sell.

I suppose if money can corrupt men, so can the commodity called woman.
This reminds me of this commercial I saw on TLC the other day. It was called "God or the Girl". I don't know exactly what the premise is, but from the ad it seemed to be about 3 or 4 guys who had received a calling to become priests but whose sole obstacle into priesthood was their reticence at getting rid of their attraction to women. What is it with religion trying to conflict enlightenment with one's desire for women? Their logic seems to indicate that we're basically tools of Satan created to lead men astray or something. This sort of thinking leads tons of victims of rape to be accused of bringing it on themselves.

This reminds me of an off color joke I heard..
The 12 monks at the monastery are facing their final test before being allowed into the order. They are told to strip naked, and the abbot then ties a piece of string with a bell hanging on it to their penises. A beautiful woman in a robe walks into the courtyard, holding a 12 roses.
The abbot states "You must all be able to control your impulses, now face your greatest test."
The woman disrobes and walks towards the first monk and hugs him. The bell rings, and she walks to the next monk. The abbot shakes his head in dissapproval.
All the way along the line she walks, and each hug produces the same response, until she reaches the 11th monk. She hugs him and there is no sound at all. The abbot is happy, and asks that she does it again. She does, and there is still no sound. She drops a rose at the monks feet. Monk number 12 says "miss, you dropped your rose." He then bends over to pick it up. The monks are all surprised to hear a bell ringing.

I'll trade you twenty wives for a camel!
(Might get some work out of the camel.)
Hey, if money had Vaginas on it I'd want to be rich.

I agree. Hand grenades get the job done much faster.
Obviously we've got only one choice, now. In order to save the world from 'women' we'll have to pull a vatican partition and divide the world in half. All the girls can live on one side, and all the guys can live on the other. It's for the best, really.
PS - As representative of 'The Guys', I call dibs on Australia, because Koalas are totally awesome.
just a little side note - some strains of Islam find it terribly improper to pictorially depict anything with a soul - burqa or not - thus the heavy use of text in decoration and art.
Also, some of the mysticism in Sufism as inspired by some of the passages in the Koran imply reincarnation is something some Muslims believe in. Not in a kharmic/samsaric sort of way, but still.
alright, class dismissed.

No, that's entirely what it is. It's the mind/body dichotomy--enlightenment only comes when we rid ourselves of "the pleasures of the flesh" and all that crap, when we rise above the demands of our weak-willed, deviant, impure bodies and reach some nonexistent plateau at which we're all just floating disembodied brains, pure intellect--and woman has always been placed squarely on the "body" side of that divide. And if woman is body, then she's another material, physical weakness that can lead our (or, well, "their," I guess) minds/souls/etc. astray and thus must be jettisoned in order to transcend.
And, you know, it's totally true. I mean, I go trolling for pure male souls to lead astray all the time--don't you?
