It left me with a feeling of 'hunh.'

No film has ever made me feel so ambiguous.

Yeah I was on a horror movie kick and watched both of them... I liked the twist at the end of the first one, but the second one was god awful, not to mention the bad acting, I mean honestly it was criminal.

Are you kidding? He was one of the major reasons it sucked so much. (The other reasons being everything else.)

I had to watch the last 2/3 of the movie at 1.5 speed just to be able to endure it - just so I could be disappointed by the lame-as-hell twist ending everybody was gushing about. Pflegh.

See, I grew up watching Leigh Whannell (the guy that played Adam and co-wrote the film) on Recovery every saturday morning so I loved the film for the simple reason that he was in it.

Fuck I miss that show...

I thought Saw was entertaining. I didn't like the cop out at the end of the movie though. It was as bad as "the butler did it". The writers did a great job in my opinion, up until revealing who jigsaw was. The movie itself was well made even with the various impossible scenarios (however, it is a horror movie and is how they work). I cared very little for the main players in the movie, but I found them interesting, just the right balance of interest and dislike to allow me to not be totally freaked out or totally apathetic when they met their grisly end.

Saw 2 however, was a complete rip off. I wanted to see all the nasty surprises setup for all the different charachters, and what happens? The big guy goes on a killing spree and ruins the entertainment value. The whole middle of the movie was a boorish attempt to recreate Lord of the Flies. However, I did get some chuckles out of the first 15 mins and the last 15 mins. Overall shit though.

I saw it..I think the idea was GREAT...BUT I thought the acting, the make up, the sets were AWFUL...if they put more then a buck fifty into production it could have been WAY better.

I thought that was danny glovers worst role i could ever think of.
He was terrible in it, i was shocked how bad he was in that film.

To be honest it fit in nicely though because the whole thing was crap.

The thing to remember about Saw is that it had a smaller budget than Cabin Fever. So, I thought it was good, but that's because I was comparing it to Cabin Fever....and really, that's a pretty low bar.
biggrin

I didn't say he was good in it. Just that him in that role was probably the only thing in the movie that was entertaining on any level.

To me that's like comparing crap to more crap. I couldn't stand either one.
