I'm still holding onto the idea that Heaven might contain a library of all the books that ever have been or will be written. Because that would be pretty cool, and what else would you do with eternity?

I didn't think you meant they shouldn't question the original academic works. I was just questioning out loud why they wouldn't.

CENTER TITLE WITH VOICE OVER: Opus Dei: No Freaky Monks Here, and Jesus Never Fucked.

So, they based their whole religion on the belierfs of a man who NEVER fucked? A religion that attempts to explain the meaning of life while not talking about sex?
No wonder they haven't got a clue.

Does anybody in this thread actually know anything about the Anglican Church? The cool-with-homosexuality, gay-and-married-clergy-loving, overwhelmingly liberal (outside of their Phillipine and African dioceses) Anglican Church?

Because it sort of sounds like a lot of the commentary is more properly directed at the Roman Catholic Church. You know, the one the movie is about.

Somewhat unrelated, but what the hell is with all the slashes in the subject line?

It's a newswire glitch.

In programing thats how you escape characters. I am guessing their bug is a loop that keeps trying escape the '\\' character.

Edit: biggrin I had to escape the '\\' because it didn't show up. Infact in this edit I had to escape it again.

Eddie Izzard knows. Oh yes...Izzard knows. And I would imagine that the African dioceses espouses the "...or Death" bit of the Anglican church a bit more than the "Cake" part.
