A $5 calling card will effectively give me about 3 hours talk time. (Landline to Landline)
However when I called her cell phone (Landline to Cell) it costs more, and I only get 20 minutes with the same card.
What if I use my cell to call her landline using the calling card? Does anyone know if it will cost more also? I'll probably try it out, but hoping perhaps one of the knowledgeable people here would know.
I only ask because I never use my landline anymore except for that, and I'd like to get rid of it.
As I understand it, calls to cell phones in most other countries are significantly more expensive. I have no idea if using your cell would make any difference in the equation. On the other hand, calling cards are designed to gyp you in a variety of circumstances (for example, I was rather startled to learn that they knock off a substantial amount of time for using them to make calls from pay phones, which I had previously assumed was their only purpose.), so it might.

I called everywhere in the world with my cell phone (during my free night minutes) with a 'White Card' calling card. As long as you dial through the local number on your white card there are absolutely no charges calling landline, cell phone or anything else. $5 would give me a few hours to Guam. Eight hours for California.
