This blows me away. So you go into a shop to get a tattoo, but you ask if they use the ink that can be easily removed. C'mon. You don't get ink with the mindset of getting it removed. I'm just not seeing why chemist are working on this sort of thing when there are people with real problems to be solved.
Read this thread - It's got a lot of reasons as to why the ink could be a good thing.
And these chemists are paid to do this specific type of research - there's other chemists paid to solve other problems - you can't assume that all chemists should be devoting their time to one cause or another - life doesn't work that way. If it did, then we'd all have jobs helping to save the world.
