I have a hard time with this thread..... go ahead thrash me for being neg. but.... I just think in my opinion and from knowledge of boxing and doing it for the USMC for a few years when I was in that its not that easy to just pick up..... The fights I have been in before I learned to box were nothing compaired to boxing..... Maybe I am just different, I dunno... but again its not like you can just lace up some gloves and fight. Well, I take that back... but if this was just a grudge match then why not just whip his ass? Take some bets on the side and then stomp a mud hole in his ass, you know? I just don't see the point in putting on pillow cases to fight and if he was the one to set up the fight I seriously doubt that he would set it up knowing he was going to get his ass kicked... Or if he did I wouldn't have picked anything above 10oz, does this guy know how to box? Cause if he did he woldn't have been so dumb to pick anything above 10oz...... And for anyone else that boxes you can't say that you would.... this guy had to have been an idiot for even wanting to set up a match if he was walking into it like this..... Who does this? So you got out of it cause he was a no show.... well now you have a reason to whip his ass however being he stood you up right?
I didn't set the fight up. Originally I just wanted to fight him bare fists, but he wanted to "box".

He'll never live it down. When you're in a line of work that's almost exclusively guys, like I am, you don't ever back down from a fight to be "the bigger man". You get blacklisted as a pussy.

Yes, as a woman, I prefer that a guy win in a fight, be it boxing or martial arts or whatever. But, I am often impressed and forgiving when a guy loses and does it with dignity.
edit to add- that came out sounding like I sit around and watch guys fight all the time, I meant on tv and stuff. (I am a huge UFC fan.
