It's a bit ridiculous that you assume people who like Dane Cook must be unaware of any other comedians.

i didn't say you were unaware of them, i said he stole jokes from them. as in outright ripped off specific material. smile

and well played with the Monty Python. i envision a cage match between the Mr. Show cast, the Python Group (complete with zombie Chapman) and the UCB crowd.

AND EVERYONE WIIIIIINS!!!! biggrin

Didn't Dane Cook beat Ralphie May on a comedians-competition show? Cuz I saw Dane on SNL and thought he was okay, but saw Ralphie as a guest on another show (I think The New Tom Green Show) and thought he was really funny.

So far, I haven't really seen much by Cross. I saw some of Mr. Show and didn't like it at all. (It was this skit that seemed to go on forever about a gas station attendant who is asked by a customer to make change or something, and he ends up going up the management chain all the way to the company owner... it took like 10 minutes for all of this, which at best would've been a 20-second joke.) I thought Cross was -okay- as a guest on Tom Goes to the Mayor.

Hedberg I liked. In fact, I saw Lewis Black at an in-store appearance at Olsson's in Arlington VA, and someone asked him about Mitch, and Lewis said he really liked him.
btw, if you ever get the chance to see Lewis in an in-store for a book or whatever, DO IT. All he did was answer questions from the (completely ridiculously full capacity) crowd, and he was great.

way to judge a totally awesome show on just one sketh that i didn't even remember until you mentioned it just now.

you can't hate on a show that gave the world the following quote:

"Mr. Pickles's Happy Fun Time Abortion Clinic! We'll bring out the kid in ya!"
