Well now discover him again for the first time because he's written another screenplay for director John Hillcoat. This time it's an Australian western starring Guy Pearce, Danny Huston,...

I'm a big fan of Nick and his work from The Birthday Party to now. I thought his novel was awesome too. I've been hearing about The Proposition for so long now, I hope this means it will be showing in the states soon. Good Interview! Then again I don't recall ever reading an interview with him that wasn't interesting, insightful and often amusing. The man's a legend.

It scares me to think Red Right Hand was one of my favorite songs when I was 12. Now it's my theme song.
Yeah I got pretty excited when I saw this interview up. Yay.

something had been worn from their once hard-lined faces - washed away with the waiting. Something that had been rooted deep in the hearts of these pious souls, that had shone through their eyes, had now vanished. Certainly, the redolence of calm was gone, as was the look of inner confidence, of exclusiveness; and no longer now did the quiet belief in their own supernal destiny colour their expression.

Gone was the god in them.

Can't Wait to see the proposition when it hits the Left Coast

And the Ass Saw The Angel is one of my favorite pieces of literature. Despite what he says, I certainly hope he writes another novel.

And yes, a very good month for interviews.
