Secondary tatoo question (for artists/craftsmen)

The SG tatoo thread got me thinking on this. For the artist, or anyone in general really, how would you feel about someone getting a tatoo of your art/work? There are tons of Superman logos out there, but how many of you small time creators have had something inked on a friend personally?

I wouldn't want someone to get a tatoo of me, but I'd be flattered beyond belief if someone got a tatoo of a character I created or peice of work I did. In fact, that was one of the things I joked 'was one of my life goals' with a friend.

so far I have five friends with my work on them my sister has a design I did for her, and I have six which I designed myself, I find it an honor that people like my work enough to have it tattooed on them,

As for having me tattooed on them id be a little freaked cos I’m one ugly bloke and I don’t make for a good picture

I actually have 3 tatts of my tattoo artists original work. 2 of em he freehanded and the other one was actually drawn by another artist in the shop for the band that i was in.

But ya that would be cool as hell to have someone love your work to have it immortalized on their skin. or at least to have them trust you enough to give them something that good.

i'd be happy to draw a tattoo for a friend. when i was a kid i wanted to be a tattoo artist. i want to get some (or at least one) of my boyfriend's designs on me, but he feels weird about it. i'll get them eventually.

see I find that your boyfriend is wierded out odd, I was gob smacked when my mate asked me if it was ok to have one of my designs as her first tattoo, I just never expected it, but the way I saw it I thought that even if we grew apart (which we did when she moved to Australia) that she would always have something to remember me and all the good times we had together by
