A lot of people out there think that's it's not a good idea for these ranting and raving pundit types to have their own TV shows. Well now we've got our very own incensed host on TV, Henry Rollins with the aptly named The Henry Rollins Show. For those who may not know of Henry, both of you, Rollins cuts an imposing figure in the hardest of rock concerts as a seminal member of Black Flag and founder ofRollins Band. A man covered in as many famous tattoos might seem an unlikely candidate for a talk...

when hank talks i listen to every word. he's a visionary, funny, whitty, and you should see him rip into a heckler at his shows. good stuff.

A TV Host? Fuck, I want to see that. Henry Rollins is my ultimate hero. I've never got into his music, I don't know why, I don't see why I have to. It's his words that interest me. If I could have an hour with anyone in the world it'd be with Hank- the ultimate conversationalist. Fantastic interview, really interesting.

This long into a career, most people have soured. Hank keeps getting better.

For those of us without cable, I hope that this season, as well as last season's IFC show is issued on DVD.

The great thing about Henry is that no matter how fucking busy he is, if you write him a letter (snail mail), or send him a postcard, he responds! As a teen I would write him often, and he would always respond! So, drop him a line...

I love that man. His "what to do when you get dumped" / Ronnie James Dio spoken word thing is one of the funniest things ever recorded.

SG SG SG...you gotta do your research better than THAT. Rollins was NOT a founding member of Black Flag. he was the LAST in a long line of vocalists.

I enjoyed the interview...but why print misleading and false information? Hank would be one of the first people to tell you that Black Flag wasn't his idea or his band.

haha...nice.

I didn't mean to sound like I was crucifying you. I just get really irritated by editorial mistkaes. I do enjoy a lot (a majority actually) of your interviews, but fans can be rabid..and I'm that way with black flag.

my opinion of your overall work hasn't changed much - I just think that in this case you missed the boat completely in doing your homework.

here's the irony-
Rollins himself is often hired by magazines/television shows to do interviews with OTHER celebrities/people of interest, and when you read his introductions and preludes to those interviews, you learn just how serious he takes them (in his book "Do I come here often?" he includes his interview with Jerry Lee Lewis, and the amount of research he does going into that interview is seriously INTENSE). He writes in some of his other books about why he does this - he intensely hates being misquotes and misrepresented.

anyway....blah blah blah. I'm glad you did an interview with Hank. Super job. but somebody had to point it out...

Rollins is the biggest poser bitch to ever live. the best thing Black Flag eved did was drop his sorry ass. he is a two-faced wanna be motherfucker.

he acts all hard then runs like a fuckin bitch when the shit goes bown.

i wouldn't piss in his mouth if he was dying of thirt.

puke puke puke puke

by the way, he didn't even come close to founding Black Flag, he isn't even in the "top 5" of thier best vocalists.

Or are you just jealous because his neck is so much bigger than yours?

this is off topic, but -

every time i see the little icon for this interview on the bottom of my screen, i think its simon cowell.

a little more on topic - i saw the rollins band when i was like 13, and it was fantastic. he is a presence.
