Hey!

I hope someone can help me, i deleted The Sims original off my computer before i went overseas b-9 months ago and i just went to install it again because, ya know..its what nerds do, and its come up with the following:

16 bit Windows Subsystem
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choos close to terminate the application.

So...like, what the fudge does all that mean? Anyone out there got any suggestions? I'll give a cookie and a kiss to whoever can help! We'll be buddies for ever! love

It wasn't really what you would call an "inside" joke, per se. More like a reference to family guy. Now whenever someone has a computer problem, regardless of what it is, I ask the above three questions.

It's a quote from Ollie and his Blaccuweather forecast. Awww yeah!

Sorry for the joke! biggrin

If you haven't already fixed it you need to do the following:

Go to C:Windows \ Repair

Copy the autoexec.nt file in there

And past it into C:\Windows \ System32

Common thing with one of the Windows updates, I think SP2, but I'm not sure.

-edit-
SG doesnt like backslashes

If it's not in there, you'll need the disk, or someone trustworthy to send it to you.
