release in summer 2007. I just heard the announcement while watching The Simpsons before.

You just made my day! I hope, much like the Family Guy movie, it's leaked on the net in advance of it's official release.

Yeah, seriously, it boggles the mind that this show is still on... I mean, it's not that I don't think it's still funny a decent enough bit of the time, it's just... God, like 17 years now? I can't even remember a time when The Simpsons WASN'T on the air.

The simpsons movie will mark the final season of The Simpsons. It has been said that the movie will release before the final season or as soon as the final season of the simpsons end. Cant remember which one it is. I hope its not for awhile. I still need alot more material for my Tree House Of Horror sleeve. haha. But either way when it does it it will be amazing yet said cause it means the end of one of my favorite shows.

yeah i remember hearing about it in 2004 after one of my shows but thats the last i really heard about it. good looking out.

The simpsons havent been funny for several seasons...i don't think ill bother with the movie - but, i hope im wrong and it turns out to be brilliant. That would be a great bonus.
