So I live across the street from a high school.
I noticed a van parked along the street where all the kids come out of the school to walk up to the convience store.
I kinda snickered to myself b/c the van is a "rape van"...old 70's style with no windows in the back part. and I think "I wonder what that perv is doing?" haha
He's was sitting there for about 1/2 hour.
I got up to let my dog out onto the balconey, and I stand there enjoying the nice spring weather.
When I glance over at the van, the guy is looking at me, we make eye contact, he shuffles around in his seat (in retrospect- lifts his ass up and kinda re-arranges his clothes) starts the van dose a FAST U turn and speeds down the street.
See if he's back tomorrow and greet him with a baseball bat! Oh, and if you didn't do it already call the cops! This perv. might move the rape van to another school knowing that you saw him.
I am not calling the cops, b/c really he didn't do anything worng that I saw....I never saw him strokin; I didn't notice any kids out there (classes are in I presume);
but I wanted other opinions ...and I will be looking out for the van again
I often jog or walk on 'the loop' at Wrightsville Beach. On two separate occasions last summer, guys were arrested for jerking off in their parked cars while watching the girls go by. In that case it was more funny than scary. Girls have been chased/attacked, though. Guess there are pervs everywhere.....

My opinion would be to either call the cops, or let the school know what you saw.
Yeah bro, at least give them a heads up (the police I mean). In turn they may give a call to the local schools and let them be aware of the possibility. Better safe than sorry, ya know.
A family I know once had a problem with a guy parked right outside their house, waiting for their three teenage daughters to walk home from school every day. Their Dad confronted the man to ask what he was doing lurking outside their home. The guy said: 'I can park wherever the hell I want, it's a free country!'
Dad and went back in the house, came out with a camera and started taking loads of pictures of the guy and his car, chanting 'it's a free country, I can photograph what the hell I want!'
The guy sped off and was never seen again. The fucker.
I usually WOULD have gone out there ... but he left before I was suspcious
I just keep thinking....hmmmm, call the cops?
what if the poor guy was eating an early lunch, maybe a nap...and yes he did take off when he saw me, but maybe he was already leavin' ........
Am I just suspicious b/c of the kind of vehicle he drives??
My neighbor (until the end of Feb) was a cop in town...I wish he still lived there- I would have gone over and talked to him.
*thinking*
having lunch and a nap in that particular spot isn't logical....its one of the busiest streets in town.
*scratches head*
EDIT- my above comment about not calling the cops....I should have said....I haven't called YET ...blah blah blah
followed by 2 trucks filled with furnature...looks like rape van guy....or his friend is moving into the house beside the school!!!
See? I am glad I DIDN'T call the cops....but now I guess I should call the school back!!
Fuuuuuck.
Oh well I guess I can't be blamed for my good intentions
