In Canada last year Personal Tax Freedom Day fell (for the average Canadian) on June 28.

In a nutshell: every dollar earnedfrom January 1st up to that point in the year goes to pay taxes at some point along the line (income tax, sales tax, gasoline taxes, made up bullshit tax numbers 1a through 7c)

So yes, taxes suck all over!
